Well they can grow 9ft in a year. Unless you have feeding problems, mine is a year old and only 4ft, of course that is not good, but its true. Although when she eats she grows like a week, I want to say she went from 3ft to 4ft like that and everytime she eats she grows. 500 bucks, thats alot of doe, you can build a cage if you want and have more money to spend on more things. But, I have been told the avg is anywhere from 6-7ft in a year, and going by the standard tank must be half as long as the snake and I think its 3 quarters of lenght, deep , you can measure that way.
