Hi Tortu-colleagues,
I have a juvenile Greek tortoise -his name is Toto, you can see his picture in the message "The Wizard of Tort". Also, in the past I had Argentine Chaco tortoises (Geochelone Chilensis). I had very good luck so far with my tortugas.
I am looking to get a baby turtle -Golden Greek, Hermann's or Greek. I absolutely/definitely/no way jose do not want to get a tortoise in the mail!!!
I am willing to drive to shows/breeders that are relatively close to my town and look at the babies in person.
I live in Northern CA at driving distance of the following cities: San Rafael, Santa Rosa, Napa, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Berkeley, Walnut Creek and anything in the middle (phone area codes 415, 707, 510, 650, 408, 925).
There will be a reptile show in San Jose, CA this weekend, but it doesn't mention anything about tortoises/turtles. The show seems focused on snakes and lizards. Not that they are not as adorable, but I am looking for a tortoise. Anybody knows? I also plan to attend the IRBA show in San Mateo.
A while ago in the Kingsnake classifieds there was a Richards Reptiles in Fresno (didn't have any address). Any references?
I don't want to break any rules of this forum but if anybody has any references ot info about local breeders I'll appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
TT
