Hi Brian,
I'm looking for a cb either Greek, Golden Greek or Hermann's. I already have a Greek juvenile and I would like for him to have some company -eventually, at first, of course the new baby would have his own terrarium. Yes, you all may think I'm crazy and this is not natural but Toto likes to be on our laps, explore and climb on the couch, be petted and cuddles up with the cat (the warm and the fur I guess). The cat is protective of him and if outside does not let birds or anybody but us to get close to him.
Sometimes he is in his indoor enclosure and he streches out his little neck and follows us with his eyes, and "raps" (moves his arms and legs like he is dancing rap music) to get out. He sure is not shy.
In the past, when I bought my first tort (Arg. Chaco tortoise) ended up having 3 (1 boy and 2 girls), the same thing happened...They came in the kitchen to say hello, be petted, etc. If one of them was missing they will look around for him or her. They seemed to enjoy each other's company as well as humans (our family only - very shy with strangers).
About the breeder, Concord is fairly close so if i change up my mind to a Russian tortu I'll sure e-mail you. I'll also let you know what info I find out.
I hope you can attend the show. We went to the wildlife show in San Jose but never been to a commercial show and looking forward to it.
TT
