Yes, but I don't know what's recommended/discouraged by the various companies.



The easiest way is to have strips of wood, aluminum or other metal running across the screen top. These strips would be ON TOP of the lid. They should probably be riveted onto the rim of the screen lid.



Then the mounting screws for the RHP can go through the screen and strips of wood/metal. The screen would essentially be sandwiched between the RHP and the strips.



I've never mounted a RHP this way but have done so with a food hopper for rodents.
