Yes, it really is that easy. In fact my way is probably more complex than in needs to be. A scrap piece of plywood slightly bigger than the RHP is all you need. Then the mounting screws of the RHP will probably be sufficient to hold everything in place.
But if you want it to be a bit more secure you can find some small flat heat sheet metal screws to go from the underside of the screen lid, through the screen, and into the wood. You'll want to find a screw that won't make contact with the plastic rim of the aquarium.
There are several ways to make this work. Just make sure the outside rim of the screen lid is supporting the weight. Don't have the screen supporting the weight. ----- Current snakes:
