That's exactly what I was thinking...simple fenderwashers...and use locknuts with a nylon insert...one last suggestion.

Use stainless steel hardware for doing the attaching.

It will come off when you want it to...it wont rust, and by not rusting wont stain or do any damage to the RHP frame, or screen.

You can scuff up the stainless a bit, and even paint it black.
