i saw the biggest green anole ever

at the sc reptile show over halloween. it was selling for something like $20 labelled as a breeder, and i swear i would never pay $20 for a green anole but this guy really was bohemoth. im talking gargantuan. with his tail he must have been about a foot long. do green anoles normally grow to this size or was this a freak of nature? i mean i dont even remember seeing any anole that big far south!
