Hi Jon,
Neither of these are toxic but I would not put them in with a veiled. Grab a frond and gently run it thru your hand. OUCH! You can easily get cut - sort of like paper cuts - and I would hate for Luna to run one thru her tender mouth. The sides of each are thin, yet course. When I was working in a FL nursery (many, many years ago) we would often get "palm cuts" from Areca and other palms. They also would not hold a cham very well and could cut the foot pads. So put them around the cage but not it

Bamboo is not toxic either but it can be a bit woody and stringy. Persoanlly not a choice I would make for in a veiled cham cage.
As for your scheff monster - Luna is one, too. This is only her second one in a year but I switch it off with a ficus as her "main" plant She has not been good about eating her dandelion greens lately but loves here scheff!
