Posted by: whitehillreptile at Mon Jun 30 22:13:19 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by whitehillreptile ] ive tried the rotation thing and she still hasnt laid. the rubbermaid is seperate from other beardies but the male she has been with may be too aggressive because i noticed today that he is going through the mating ritual again, so i have since seperated him and she calmed down a bit. waited a few hours and put her back in the nesting box, she backed up and just as i thought she was going to lay (wiggling her butt down into the medium [mixture of sand and vermic]) she moved out of position, and layed on top of her heap. this is her first clutch and from copulation she should be anywhere from a week to three weeks over due. im thinking it may be first clutch syndrome. but i dont know. im not worried at this point i was just in the forum and thought i would prepare for the worst and hope for the best sort of thing. and yes i KNOW she is gravid...i can palpate and see the indiv. eggs to the point where its making her ribs stick up. she has been off food for a couple days now with the exception of about 3 lrg meal worms yesterday. and ive been keeping her hydrated and offering greens just in case she gets a little hungry and since she is too big to chase anything down. | ||
