Tile board/Shower board

I am biulding a cage for me Cal King. I want to use shower board/Tile board for the inside and the outside. I was going to make a frame with 1x1s and atatch the tile board to the frame and use a trim to clean up all the corners and use silicon to seal the edges on the inside. My questions are.





1. How do you attach the board without leaving ugly nails or screws? Would glue be stong enough to last a long time?



2. I am going to leave the bottom open on all sides but the front for air space. Can a UTH work on this stuff or would it be a safty hazard?



3. I quess this should have been question one, but do you think this type of cage would work, and do you have any suggestions. I have done this type of cage with plywood before, but i want this one to look good and not crappy like the ones I have done before.
