Hi,
The product you mention is probably too flimsy for the side of a rack.
One thing I've done is use 1/2" plywood to save weight. Of course that adds $$ which may not be worth it.
BTW, having the boxes slide in width-wise saves weight. To save even more weight go with a back-less design. Then have some simple cleats to stop the boxes and cover the back with foil-faced, styrene insulation board.
