The vet took some x-rays and he says she has an enlarged liver, w/ possible calcium deposits. He also said it may be calcification of the liver. In the x-ray, when put side by side to an x-ray of a beardie w/ a regular, healthy liver you could notice a BIG size difference in the lungs. The Doc said it looked to him that the liver is pushing up against the lungs, hence the breathing problem. I mean, the size difference of the lungs of Babs and the x-ray of the healthy dragon was alarming.

Not good news...

He said my best option is a biopsy, but unfortuantely, I can not afford the $400 price tag that comes w/ it. But he also added that he had to give me a "guarded prognosis" that it looks bad.

I told him about her recent bout w/ coccidia and he says that could/might be the problem, but he said it wasn't likely, though could be.

So, now she's back on the Coccidia medicine to see if thats it. As soon as she deficates i'm going bring it in, but this is where were @ for right now.

If anybody has anything they may be able to add from experience i'd really appreciate it.

It's just one of those days today. It's raining, i'm moving and my little girls not doing too well. And theres also the possibilty of her cagemates being exposed to whatever it is she may have. The rain seems fitting...
