Housing Beardies together

When housing two bearded dragons in the same enclosure, does it matter if one is considerably younger/smaller than the other? I have a female that's maybe 13 inches long from her nose to the tip of her tail, and a male who's about half that size in a separate tank. Would it be okay to put them together?
