Hey,
His question was will both male and female, shed during breeding, indicating that the female is now gravid. The answer to that should be NO! (Both animals shedding at the same time is purely coincidental). Shedding is a normal process, however, the fact that the male and the female are in shed, right at about the time that they both bred, does not guarantee a successful breeding. Both animals will shed as a matter of course, but will not matter either way. If the female is gravid, she will shed again prior to egg laying (Pre-lay-shed), 21-29 days before egg laying.
Note: Watch for the females Ovulation which should be a good indication that she is gravid; particularly if she goes off feed and refuses to eat for 8 weeks or more.
