taming red bloods

what is the best way to tame a red blood python? i picked up a baby blood about 2 weeks ago at the atlanta reptile show and the little spaz has been biting left and right. should i wear gloves at all times when handling or is the only way to get it calmed down just to let it bite my bare skin constantly until it gives up? i was told it was a cb but it acts like more a wc from what ive read about them.
