If you have the room, use it. My burm is nearing 18 ft and her enclosure is 8'x4'x30". And yes most of the time she's curled up under the hot side, but on occasion she's on the other side.



On top of her is a 4' water monitor, and on top of him is a 4' iggy. I'm doing some renos right now, but when I get it put back together I'll post some pics.



It would also be easier to use full sheets of plywood instead of having to cut them.
