Very easy. My burm is very docile and cooperative...though she has her stuborn moments! The front is 1/4" sliding glass. As soon as I slide it open, she's happy to come out.



I use a short handle snow shovel (Its made to go in the trunk of a car) to clear out all the substrate. I then use a shop vac to clean what I miss shovelling. Then I throw in some fresh substrate and she's all smiles...well, you know what I mean.



Every so often (it varies) I spray it down with a water-bleach solution with one of those pump sprayers for insecticides/herbicides/fertilizer (just be sure its a new one thats never been used-10$ at walmart). Then I have a second one that I use only water in to rinse everything. If I have to do some scrubbing I just crawl halfway in and go to work and I'm not a small guy! (Training for strongman competion).



The enclosure she was in before this one was 8x3 and that would have been fine, but I needed extra space for the upper two cages and it was just easier to go with 4'. I think she enjoys the extra space.



When I built this enclosure I made it so it comes apart in sections. This is so I can easily move it if I move and I can also extend the length. Again, not so much for the burm but for the iggy and especially the water.



If you (or anyone) can tell me how to post a picture, I can show you the new enclosure before the current reno, partial pics of the old enclose and when I'm done I can show you the finished product.
