Linda, what were u feeding the iggy ? or did u give it a basking spot somewhat 20% higher than the cool spot ? impaction may not be due to it swallowing a huge object but could also be due to indigestion.

1) its digestive system has totally broken down.

2) Its not getting enough heat to metabolize.

3) its so stress that it broke down mentally. .

This is just what i think.

Anyway, if it was impaction, there must be a real big stuff that blocked its stomach or else it should be slow process in that the hind legs will be affected first ( symptoms ) and den resulting in lower body paralysis. The vet didn't tell u what impaction material was ?
