OK I need some schooling. I have a male that has lots of spots. When I breed him he produces babies that have spots. Some with lots some with few. After 40 some offspring fathered by this male I have noticed that the male offspring always have larger and usually more spots than the females. I am starting to believe that I can sex Them by the size and number of spots. All of the female I have bred him to have some smaller spots but not like him. I know that spots are an independent trait, But does that make them more likely to be passed father to son?? Is this some bizzare odds beating coincidence or is their some genetic based logic going on here? Thanks for any feedback.
