Also read the posts over the last couple weeks as there has been much discussion on this topic as of late. The articles Carlton linked you to are great and after you have read them come with specific questions.



I will make three points:



1) The need for extra calcium during egg development is crucial so I hope you had a good dusting regimen or a high calcium feeder (such as silkworms).



2) Provide a laying tub soon so she has a place to lay when she is ready (don't try to second guess her - she knows what she is doing)



3) Get a digital scale and weight her every few days to keep a record. Even if you never mate her she will continue to develop eggs (possibly 2-3x per year) and a scale is a must.
