I'm a novice (at best) with chahoua, so I'm warning you now...this is only my humble, honest opinion on the subject. I've gotten to know Crested Geckos pretty well over the last couple years, but I just have a few chahoua around for fun.



I feed all my chahoua (a whopping five of them) CGD and insects, just to keep things simple. Allen Repashy feeds CGD to his chahoua and they produce quite well for him, so I figured it must be working. However, I'm not saying that's the only way to do it. Babyfood and crix work great when supplemented correctly, as evidenced by people like Philippe deVosjoli's collection. Correctly is the key word with supplementation, though. Many people I see feeding that type of diet usually go about their supplementation by throwing in "a pinch of this and a dash of that," which is anything but precise. With that type of feeding regimen, sooner or later, I think it's much easier for something to go wrong, either with too much or too little of something. I think if someone is going to feed babyfood and crickets, they need to look at the supplement they're using and look at the babyfood they're using and then figure out the exact amount of supplement that they should be adding to the babyfood.



Personally, that's too much of a headache for me when I can get 2.5lbs of CGD for $35 and be done with it.



As for the underbite, I should clarify that I've seen quite a number of young chahoua with it (at shows, pictures, etc.) with that, but I don't know for a fact that it was caused by diet and I'm in no way blaming anyone for it. The only thing I've seen similar (structural malformation) in rhacs is wavy tails in baby leachies, and I've seen that corrected with proper diet/supplementation before, so that's why I made the comparison. Like I said, I'm just a novice when it comes to chahoua, so take all of this with a grain of salt.



I specifically remember that super bright harlequin I sent you. That one killed me. How's that one turning out?
