I have a gold phase male. I got him as a wild caught 3-4 footer, now around 6 feet. He's very nippy and fleighty inside his cage, but is very calm and handleable after you get him out of his cage. I think they seem like they are very, very intelligent and very aware of their surroundings. After you get your husbandry practices down they are really great and rewarding to work with. I keep mine at a little higher basking temp as most other pythons, at 92-94*F, and an ambient temp of around 84*F, I have never had any health problems, has always been a great eater. I keep humidity up at around 70%, and a good secure hidebox which he enjoys alot. Happy Holidays. -----
