I received my favorite Christmas Present yesterday. Can't think of anything I'll get today that could top it. A beautiful and friendly Eastern Milk Snake. He was given to me from a fellow forum member who I recently met online and then met him and his wife in person yesterday. I'm just loving my new boy. He's Blue right now, can't wait till he sheds. Looks like he has very nice thick black borders. He's 4 years old and was Captive Bred. I have 3 baby Easterns, about 6 months old. They are really neat snakes and I very much enjoy working with them. I am hoping to build up my collection of "local native" species which will become the main focus of my demo group to help teach the public about the value of reptiles and amphibians. I can't breed or sell Easterns in NY due to laws that are in place to protect the native species. But I love having them as pets. Here are some photos. His name is Snoopy. I'll post new pics in a week or so after he sheds... Hope everyone is having a great Christmas!
