I usually see it when I uncover a sleeping gecko on the lower level or my rack where it is a bit cooler. If I disturb the gecko it usually returns to a more uniform color in a few minutes. I'm not sure if it has to do with temperature or lack of blood flow to those particular areas of the body due to temporary inactivity or both. I will try to take some pics next time I catch one of them like that. [ Hide Replies ]
