RE: light bulbs

You can get bulbs just about any place. Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart...etc. I use 1 65 watt incandescent to heat a 6' trough. In my 8' cage i use two 65 watt incandescents. Just make sure that you get flood light bulbs and not spot lights. Also the halogens tend to have too much of a concentrated beam, that goes for with and without the hex pattern, plus incandescents seem to last longer and are also cheaper if you buy in quantity.
