that should be ok, but Ive never tried that myself. Green veggies are extremely important to an adult chams diet, my suggestion is moving the veggies around with your hands. Hopefully your cham is friendly enough for this, mine is fortunately, and I have ONLY hand fed her for the last three years, I'm lucky. she comes running when she sees me and tries to climb on me and zap my hands because of that! Leave his salads in there for him anyway, since my cham eats her hibiscus plant from time to time, without any movement on its part it helps that it doesnt wither away, and shes on it 24/7.
