Well, over the last month or so I have been putting the female in with my male every 5 days or so for 2 days at a time. When they are apart I have been feeding them and letting them poop then putting them back together. So last weekend the male started to shed again. The last time I put him in with the female there was no breeding activity from him at all. Up to this point every time I had put them together he was a sex machine. Today I separated them and when I picked up the female she felt considerably heavier, and boy has she grown! I hadn't picked her up in a long time. Today after cleaning the cage the male moved the water bowl right over the heat taped portion so as you can see in the pic the humidity is way up. Is this ok for a few days, im having a hard time geting him out or my hand in as he has been a little grumpy. Both of them today were doing the neck puffing thing like a beauty rat snake (laterally puffing up). So all I am wondering about is the humidity and the lack of sex drive. Is the breeding over for them for this season? It might be from his shedding but I don't think so, he has bred in the past when in blue. Is this normal or does it signify something? From this point how long would I have to wait to bring her in for a sonagram or X-ray to see if she has developed eggs or folicles? Would that be ok to do? Thanks for the help
