Hey, venting is a good thing occasionally, keeps us from hurtin' things. If you don't mind, in answer to my situation, I was given the baby I have because someone thought is was to aggressive. Come to believe the aggression is from unshed eyecaps. When I put a little mineral oil on them ( hopefully to soften them up enough that they can be removed) she becomes calmer and also more receptive to foodstuffs. They knew I had other reptiles and thought I'd take care of it, and I will. As to the mites, In 40 years of playin' with snakes both wild and domestic, I've never come across them. Dumb luck I guess, but never had reason to study up on it.
