All three strains of albino are T positive.
There is a great deal of overlap colorwise between the strains. If you look at enough of them, however, you'll be able to determine what strain most of them are.
Bells are typically dark. They tend to have a sharp pattern. The edges of the markings have a crispness to them. They also tend to have lots of small spots. Despite their dark pattern, however, bells will have light eyes. The eyes will look red or pink. Dark trempers on the other hand, tend to have dark eyes with deep maroon veining.
Rainwaters tend to have a very faded pattern. In my opinion, rainwaters and trempers are the most difficult to tell apart. Usually it is a pale pinkish brown. The pattern, especially dorsally almost fades into the body. Most rainwaters will also have redder eye veining than a tremper of similar coloring.
Trempers are the most variable. Their patterns range from white to chocolate brown and virtually every color in between. The lightest trempers are usually hatched from eggs incubated at high temperatures (mid 80's - 90). If deprived of a 90 degree hotspot or if they decide to spend a few days on the cool side, most will darken. The degree to which they will darken is variable, but I've seen documentation of them going all the way from white to dark brown. The lighter the tremper, the redder the eyes. The white patterned trempers will often have eyes similar to that of a bell in color. What makes the typical bell stand out, is the light eyes coupled with a dark body pattern.
Of the three strains, the tremper is the most common. If you get an albino from a petstore, it's almost always a tremper. Rainwaters are a distant second followed by bells, which are the rarest. Check out the leo pics at www.crestedgecko.com and www.groundgeckofreak.com both these sites have pictures of all three strains.
Hope this helps some,
Alice
