I've seen a number of ovulations this season but none quite like this one. The photos still don't seem to catch the same perspective as seeing it in person. I've seen a few human females that looked like they might actually pop and this little female appeared to be in a similar predicament. There was just an incredible difference between the girth just in front of the ovulation and the ovulation area itself. You can see it pretty well in the first photo. In the fall, I was hesitant to put her in a breeding trial because she was just 8.5 lbs but she was also 3.5 years old and of very good muscle tone so I decided to proceed. She was courted by a male Jungle for a full month. Due to unfortunate circumstances (the loss of a male Jungle in another breeding trial), I chose to move that male into another trial. He was replaced by a really nice normal with beautiful pattern & color. He courted her for another full month before this happened. Notice he is still back there doing his job in these photos. Should be interesting to see what I get from this. Quite possibly I will get a mixed litter as I am confident that both males copulated with her. Good luck to everyone as things begin to really heat up for this breeding season. gray [ Hide Replies ]
