Toe Shedding Problem/ question/idea

Here's my dilema-- I switched all of my adult leopard cages to tile. Looks great, easy to cleam, but now it seems that the leos are having major problems getting theri sheds off of their little toes! I have spent alot of time soaking and using tweezers to get the sheds off! Yes they have a humid hide.



I an guessing that when they were on sand the abrasiveness of the sand helped get the shed off of the toes!



Here's my thought Do you think putting a piece of sand paper in their enclosure might help? It couldn't harm them could it? Any other ideas out there that might help them with thier toes? I t is almost all of my adult leopards. The juvies are still on paper towels and don't seem to be having them same probs.
