I couldn't even begin to guess without actually seeing the lizard or at least a pic of it. You might try http://www.enature.com/search/show_search_byShape.asp?curGroupID=7&shapeID=1059 they have pics and descriptions of many but not all native US lizards. Or you might try www.ndow.org/wild/animals/facts/reptiles.shtm they have descriptions of most native Nevada lizards,



As far as keeping it do you have any other reptiles in your home? Be careful because wild caught reptiles can many times have parasites or diseases that won't hurt or kill them in nature but can kill a captive bred one and it would need to be checked out by a vet and quarantined from any you have. I usually like to leave them in nature but that's just me. Either way enjoy it and treat it well whether it is kept or released and make sure you know what type it is through research or individuals so it can have the correct care.
