She was not feeding well. That is why I brumated her. I'm speaking in past tense because this morning I looked in her box to find her dead. This has not been my month for snakes. All of my problem feeders have died...been 6 all babies. Three of the 6 most likely just needed to be brumated, but I waited too long. Thank goodness all the rest of my snakes are eating well. I was almost ready to start giving all of my critters away, but I think the worst has passed.



This is the first situation that I've had to brumate a snake. I hear most of the time it does not need to be done unless you are planning on breeding. I am very new to brumation.



How does one know when to brumate and when not to?
