Thanks Billy. The pillow case trick worked great! I did have to pull the skin of of the tail, but it was already off the rest of the body when I pulled her out of the sack. I will mist the next time she sheds.

I do have the left side of the cage up to 87 f the other is holding at 69 f. Is this too much of a difference? Maybe I need to get a heating pad with more than 3 settings. Anyway thanks again.



Is there anything wrong with my substrate (crushed walnut shell)? It is very easy to keep dry and clean. I do not feed in the tank, we do that on a desk for all the students to watch. So I'm not worried about ingestion of the shell particles.

Hope Im not asking too many questions, I just want to do a good job, keep my snakes healthy and set a good example for the students.
