If not, then it did not work. If it is then, YAY!! Your temp gradient seems fine and though I've never personally used the crushed walnut shell, I don't see anything wrong with it for your black rat. Good luck and keep up the good work! Billy



>>Thanks Billy. The pillow case trick worked great! I did have to pull the skin of of the tail, but it was already off the rest of the body when I pulled her out of the sack. I will mist the next time she sheds.
