I think you will really enjoy the green pumilio, Patty. However, as far as I am concerned, azureus are tincs for all intents and purposes. They both behave similarly, and there are only subtle morphological differences. If you like the azureus color, I would go with the azureus. If you like the bold yellows, I would go with the Brazilian cobalts (I have 4 of those ready to pick up as soon as I get another tank ready!).
As far as worrying about tinc type frogs in groups, I don't really think you will have a problem in your large setups as long as there is plenty of space and hiding places. Of course, you will want to watch for too much bullying, but IME froglets that are raised together tend to establish a pecking order early and the serious, frequent fighting does not occur. I certainly would not go with the 5 gallons per frog rule, though. If you are going to keep 2 adult females together, 10 gallons per frog is probably better. Regardless, your female will wrestle the males when it is breeding time . . . that is just their way. ----- Purveyor of Trivialities and Fine Nonsense
