What's worked well for me is a vertically oriented cage, mine is 6 ft high x 3 ft wide by 2 ft deep. Basking lights at the top of the cage, and cypress mulch substrate at the bottom (about 12 inches deep), with plenty of branches to climb up to the basking platforms. I also have heat rope routed through pvc piping in the substrate, temp controlled by a thermostat. I have a pair in this cage, but 3 would probably be comfortable as long as two were females. Also, I use acrylic on the front removable panel, but the branches aren't close to it, so it never gets scratched. Hope you enjoy your timors as much as I have, they have a lot of personality!
