I live in Washington state and there are bills in the state house and senate that will ban the keeping of all sorts of herps.

You don't need to live in WA to help.

It will specifically effect me because it will ban the keeping of my mussuranas (Clelia and Boiruna), heloderms (beaded and gilas) and Phylodrias barroni.

If I have ever helped you get an indigo, helped you get one feeding, traded animals with you, my caresheet has helped you maintain your animals, or if you've enjoyed the info on www.indigosnakes.com, I'm asking you to return the favor.

I need you to call the senators and representatives I'll post below. Let them know that you oppose SB5377 and HB1151.

Let them hear you say that blanket bans are unfair to responsible owners, that Clelia, Boiruna, Hydronastes, Phylodrias barroni and the Helodermatidae are all not so dangerous as to require any special regulation, and that our hobby will be negatively effected. You can also voice opposition to them trying to regulate every facet of our lives.

You can also send them hard-copy mail if you want to go the extra mile.

So use up some of those free weekend minutes on your cell phones or pick up a calling card and make some calls.

Thanks everyone.
