Posted by: Thomas j at Sat Jul 5 16:22:26 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Thomas j ] I have read the article wrote by Mr. Barker. I talked to my frind Scott. He gave me a pamplet he wrote an article in. It was dated 1984 it was for the Connitcut Herp. Society. It stated how the first batteaters came about. I contacted Hank Molt and asked him about it. He told me he borrowed the snake from Scott and took them to a show in Texas. He showed it around and no one new what it was. So he told everyone it was a new species from Borneo that lived at the mouths of large caves and it ate bats. They were joking and called it Borneo bat eatters. The name just stuck. My friend Scott refers to them as Burtics. I am trying to get the pages scanned and i will post them on here as soon as this gets done. any questions. Feel free to e-mail me at [ Hide Replies ]
