As mentioned in a previous post I fed my 04 red, male a frozen thawed dekay's snake a few days ago. Well it came out the other end tonight and WOW that was the nastiest crap I have ever smelled and it was loose so it ended up ALL OVER the cage!

Remind me to not feed snakes to my indigos very often!

(ME) Heh. Welcome to the aromatic land of indigo-go. Fast metabolism. If they weren't the coolest snakes this bonus feature wouldn't help them as sought after animals I've started just wiping it up after the second or third day after feeding. Myself, I don't believe in powerfeeding. I WILL cycle mine for a month of good feeding and then let it go through a month or two of SPARSE feeding (less and/or not as often). I have also noticed that they drink a lot more than most snakes. Guess that helps 'em grind out the stench fest faster

Mines growing very nicely even with the cycling. Can't wait til spring or summer and I'll take him out and get some decent pics of him.
