That could definetly happen. Never though of enlisting the aid of dogs or anything else in order to find snakes in the wild, just wasnt that crucial for my happiness and well being. But I can see that it could aid poachers. As far as hounds, I spend alot of time with a friend of mines lab...and trust me, the thing wouldnt help you find anything but its food bowl. Guess it is all in how you raise and teach them.
