The USAF has been using Jack Russell Terriers to locate invasive brown tree snakes (Boiga irregularis) on aircraft in Guam for years now, to prevent their spread into the US and other areas.
It was only a matter of time before the utilization of K-9's to "track" snakes for science, or others, was placed into action.
Hmm. Wonder if Game and Fish entities will make you acquire a dog hunting permit for such use?
