Posted by: Philfrank at Mon Jan 31 21:33:43 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Philfrank ] I paid a couple of kids in Trinidad to chase Mattes (tegus) into their burrows with their dogs were we dug up the three foot holes for the like sized inhabitants. The dogs were not very successful as the trailes were criss crossed and the dogs, many times , lost the main trail while chasing the lizard. Of course, lizards are more mobile than snakes, and this may not be as much of a problem when scenting for them. Obviously, arboraeal snakes are out of the question. | ||
