I'm just a newbie with Chahoua. I only have 2.2, but I have noticed and heard from other breeders that they do need more calcium. The eggs (all two that I've gotten) are highly calcified, so that really makes sense.

I've also noticed that they do make use of a basking site. The only thing is if you provide UVB, you have to be careful about D3 supplementation. Overdoing it with the calcium/D3 is just as bad as not enough and since you really can't be sure how much UVB they're really getting, I wouldn't think it a good idea to cut back on their D3 either...so I lean towards supplementing them and sticking with a night bulb or heat tape for their basking site.

Again, I'm just starting out with them, so don't take any of that as gospel.

>>Have you noticed that chahoua need more calium? I'm thinking of using UV lights with my group since they tend to make use of a basking area. If they bask in the wild they would get more sunlight than other Rhacs?. I find I have to be extra vigilant with the supplements with my group of chahoua.
