Thanks, I didn't even think of core temps. She does lay right on the heat for a while and then moves off, but she is very good at always reading 84 on the surface.

I was just worried cause whenever I shoot the others (imerators) with the temp gun their temps are higher (87-88). And I wondered if the true redtails incubate at lower temps.
