Weird Problem

I have a few baby Indian Pythons, and they all do the same weird thing. I give them a (dead) mouse, they strike at it, then constrict it. But, then, they release it without eating. Sometimes I have to present the mouse to them about 5 times. This is getting to be a real pain. Anybody got any ideas? Maybe they are just retarded!
