I have a diamind Python, he's a couple of years old so is starting to bulk up. I have a question re handlng.
To some experts here my questiosn may seem like real simple stuff. Too me it's just a cool pet, I do my best to lok after him but I'm certainly no fanatical reptile enthusiast. So any advice is welcome.
I handle my snake as much as possible when I have time, but now he is getting bigger its very hard to remove him form his cage as he just needs to grab onto a branch and you may as well forget taking him out. I'm worried that being a bit forcefull with him may harm him. I have seen some pretty big snakes posted here, how do you guys go with removing your snakes from their cage? is there a trick to it?
My 7 to daughter was holding my snake the other day while I took a photo and it managed to wrap about 6 inches of its tail around the park bench she was sitting. It bacame a major operation to coax it to let go.
Other than this he's a really placid snake who has only JUST started hissing but has never struck anyone. HE seems to enjoy his time out of his cage, once I can get him out.
Thanks
