>>Is it just me or are "pink" boas on the rise? Hugely beautiful, I have a very similar snake family line here in Edmonton. I thought it may have been a new morph because I have proven it genetic, but after researching the topic I've concluded that it is very common. Where do you think this trait comes from?

The same thing!I understand you have line bred boa's an then you have the genetic line of pastels on the market today!I never made an issue of this because I understand that one has to take the time to prove somthing out before even bringing it up or all heck breaks loose,But my pics ought to stand for themselves,I was so worried about aberancies that I didnt pay a whole lot of attention to the fact that half of my litter was an are very pink with just as clean or cleaner bellies than daddy! Now weather this is genetic or just daddies trait being passed on I dont know right now,But it is definatley somthing I SHALL be working on over the next 3 years!I figure 2 more unrelated breedings with him if the ratio comes out the same then a female gets old enough to breed back to daddy them babies ought to be mind blowing!Well Ill stop rambling an thanks to all for the compliments on BAD!He has been a joy to raise!Eric[Hypoboa] ----- E&C's Exotic House of Reptiles
