There are countless things that have been written on it and everyone has their own opinion, so I will give you mine. A good breeding pair of boas, is a good breeding pair of boas and they will or will not breed despite what we do and not usuall inspite of what we do.Cooling boas, can be a dangerous thing, especially if done wrong. I stopped cooling years ago and seen no real difference in breeding activity, but did see a stop in illness. I offer a cool spot between 75-80 degrees all year around with a hot spot that is always accessible. When it comes to B.C.I " wich is what you have " they are much simpler to breed than B.C.C. and I DEFINATELY have never seen a reason to intentionally cool them. Some of us try to sound brilliant when it comes to breeding boas, but I can assure you " wether you choose to believe it or not " we still have no REAL IDEA what it takes to acheive ovulation in the majority of stock that we try to breed. I know, you are probably thinking; " Wow, John your not telling me to much that is helpful! " Here is the most helpful thing that I could ever tell you when it comes to breeding boas; " Learn everything that you can on HUSBANDRY and takeing care of them and what you take care of, will more than likely take care of you. " It really is, that simple........GOD BLESS......Johnson Herp | ||
