Well, for the simplest reason I would give....It's up to YOU what you believe creates an ideal breeding situation. If YOU feel cycling your animals is necessary, and choose to cycle your animals, it's much easier to decrease daylight/temps. when it is also occuring naturally outdoors. If you have windows in your snake room, you'll get a naturally decreased photo period. Your homes temperature will also naturally decrease as the temperature outdoors does. It makes things EASIER! Sure, you can probably re-arrange your boas sense of seasonality and start cycling whenever you choose, and you may very well get babies. I personally don't want to try to make a room that is exactly the opposite of what is going on naturally. That would be my basic reasoning. Take care!
